Under the Autumn Trees

I want to do a blog post about Vin­nie, my won­der­ful dog. (All the pic­tu­res of her are from today.  )

I bought her as a pup from the local dog shel­ter and she tur­ned 11 years old this sum­mer. The woman from the shel­ter said she was a mix between a Shorthaired/Smooth Col­lie, a Sibe­rian Husky and some kind of hun­ting breed. This is more or less guess work, though, as no one knows who her fat­her is. We do know her mot­her, though, as she was brought in (with her lit­ter) to the shel­ter. Her mot­her looked very much like a Short­hai­red Col­lie, very close to this one (inclu­ding the colours):
